Official Release Date Announced
Nintendo has revealed the Switch 2, the long awaited successor to one of the best-selling consoles in history, will be released on 5 June.
In a Nintendo Direct online presentation, watched by more than a million people, the company gave details of the hardware and confirmed it would launch with Mario Kart World.

Backward Compatibility
Nintendo confirmed that "compatible" Switch games will work on the Switch 2. Others will get Switch 2 editions with updated graphics and gameplay.
